Night Tour

Costa Rica is well known throughout the world for its huge variety of wildlife. However, most species stay hidden during the day and you’re able to observe them only when they leave their burrows and come out in search of food, which happens early in the night.

A night tour is offered in the stunning surroundings of Manuel Antonio National Park. The area trails are easy to access and the conditions of this habitat are perfect for amphibians, reptiles, mammals, birds, insects, and much more. The park is the place where the famous and almost extinct harlequin frog has been spotted again. So, the park has become an important field of research and scientific studies for herpetologists worldwide.

This night walk takes between 2 1/2 and 3 hours and you’ll be accompanied by a professional and expert certified guide. During the expedition, you may encounter bats, Jesus Christ lizards, spiders, owls, many varieties of frogs, snakes, and many interesting insects.

Special equipment for the night is used and each customer is given a flashlight for better enjoying the activity. This is a great option to be added to your nature trip in the Manuel Antonio Park area.

Special Note:

The night tour does not take place in the Manuel Antonio Park itself because according to the Costa Rican constitutional protection law the park is closed after 4:00 PM. Since the Manuel Antonio Park is not a rainforest habitat, it happens to have less nightlife. So, the area we select is definitely the best choice for your nature night trip.
