​The mangrove ecosystem is one of the most impressive tropical habitats in the world. Due to its natural ecosystem conditions, it hosts a large variety of wildlife, such as the white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boa constrictors, iguanas, crocodiles, turtles, crabs, countless number of bird species and a lot more... Damas Island’s mangrove forest is located approximately 25 minutes from the Manuel Antonio Park area. This tour will give you the opportunity to encounter some amazing species that inhabit this epic habitat.

Mangrove Kayak Tour

The mangrove Kayak tour is at the impressive estuary of the Paquita River. Located approximately 25 minutes from Manuel Antonio Park. This is a top tour to observe the wildlife after Manuel Antonio Park Guided Tour. In this tour you will combine adventure plus nature, as you would observe several species of wildlife and learn from your naturalist tour guide. The mangrove forest is full of animals just like Manuel Antonio Park, although very likely much quieter and more relaxing than Manuel Antonio Park because there is absolutely no one in this place except for the few boats and kayaks that enter to operate this memorable tour.

Our tour begins with the pickup at Jungle Roost in Manuel Antonio, during the transportation your tour guide will be giving you explanations about the tour and also will tell you about important facts from the local history of our town. Once we arrive to the river, we aboard the kayaks to paddle in through this amazing ecosystem for a nature journey of approximately 2 hours. At the end of the tour, we will take you to a typical restaurant for a delicious Costa Rican typical lunch.
