Rafting at Savegre River - Family rafting adventure

 

The Savegre River is your best choice to enjoy a rafting trip with your family and children. The Savegre River is considered to be the cleanest river in Central America. The river begins to flow from its source at the top of the San Gerardo Dota mountains and its water is so very cool. The forest is amazing: green and with incredible wildlife that you may encounter while rafting down the river.

 

During your rafting trip on the Savegre River, you can enjoy the incredible landscapes, and waterfalls in the heart of the rainforest, observe animals, and enjoy a friendly rafting trip with your family. The place where the tour begins is located approximately 1 hour from the Manuel Antonio area. During the journey to the river, you will enjoy various landscapes, such as palm plantations, small rural villages, and local forests.

 

The tour lasts approximately 6 hours. The activity includes snacks and a typical Costa Rican meal after the tour. at the end of the day, you will be taken back to Jungle Roost in Manuel Antonio.

 

Rafting at Naranjo River - Half Day Rafting Tour

 

Naranjo River is your best choice. Our starting point is the river area, which is located approximately 25 minutes from the Manuel Antonio Park area. Naranjo River is considered to be class III and IV. This means that the rafting activity is truly enjoyable.

 

As soon as you arrive at our departing point, your guide will give you a nice explanation about the tour (rules and security instructions). During the trip you will enjoy the rainforest, the rapids, the meandering river (curves), its waves, and all of this combined with high adrenaline.

 

At the end of our seven miles tour and after having experienced exciting emotions, you’ll enjoy a delicious and refreshing snack of fruits and drinks. Finally, you will be taken back to Jungle Roost.

 

Rafting at Naranjo River - El Chorro Section

 

This tour is definitely the best on top of the best for rafting in Costa Rica. For great adventurers! This rafting tour will definitely blow you away. Yes, everything is awesome in this tour (adrenaline to the max level). No experience needed! The tour takes place in the Esquipulas mountain area. The river is called Naranjo River, although the upper area of the river is called Chorro. Here at Chorro, you'll fully enjoy the best rafting tour of Costa Rica. You'll see and raft amazing waves and cascades down a narrow canyon. Thanks to the beautiful rock formations, the river’s foamy water, and the evergreen virgin rainforest, you’ll remember this trip for the rest of your life.

 

You will be picked up at Jungle Roost and will drive to Esquipulas, which is located approximately 30 minutes from the Manuel Antonio Park. As soon as you arrive at the river, the tour guides will give you important security and safety instructions for the tour. And then, all you have to do is fully enjoy your adventure!

 

During the tour and while you’re journeying down the crazy rapids, you will have more than one chance to stop and appreciate the beauty of the rainforest. On top of that, the tour photographer will try to get some awesome pictures of you having fun in this peaceful paradise.

  • The minimum recommended age is 7 - 8 years old for Savegre, 10 - 12 years old for Naranjo, and 14 - 16 years old for El Chorro

    Price: Naranjo: $100 per person Savegre: $120 per person, El Chorro: $110 per person 

    Tour Includes: Transportation from Jungle Roost to the river (round trip) through the mountains and rainforest, bilingual and experienced rafting guides, high-quality gear and certified rafting equipment, river snacks. Savegre River only (nature walk to waterfall and Costa Rican traditional meal and drinks at the end of the tour).

  • What to bring: Fast-drying clothes, river sandals or shoes, Sunblock, towel, waterproof camera, and a change of clothes is optional.
